Parker Chase: Twelve Hours of Sebring Preview

SEBRING, Fla., (March 13, 2019) — Parker Chase will make his Twelve Hours of Sebring debut in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship debut this weekend at Sebring International Raceway. The second event of the 2019 season, the Twelve Hour is one of the most iconic and challenging events in series history, pushing endurance racing drivers and teams to the limit.

Situated on a former WWII B-17 training base, the 3.74-mile, 17-turn circuit is not only one of the oldest courses in North America, but one of the most unique, comprised of 2.89 miles of asphalt, and 0.85 miles of concrete. The mixed track surface contrasts greatly to the modern, fresh paved tracks the IMSA series races at throughout the course of the season. The bumpy surface and varying materials provide competitors with extra factors to consider in their race set up packages and performance on track.

Thirty-eight entries will compete across four classes, and Parker Chase will race with Starworks Motorsports in the GTD class. Over the course of the twelve hours, Chase will share the driving duties of the No. 8 Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO with Ezequiel Companc and sports car racing veteran Ryan Dalziel, who currently holds two overall podiums at the event.

“I’m super excited to get this weekend underway in Sebring,” said Chase. “It’s such an iconic event and track to race at. We’re very pleased with the consistency of the Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO, and we’ll do our best to place ourselves to be there to fight for the win at the end.”
