PARKER CHASE AND GINETTA RACE CARS PREPARED FOR CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS

After enduring a challenging weekend in the state of Texas due to Hurricane Harvey, Texan resident Parker Chase will shift his focus from weather to the race track for this coming weekend’s event at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas. Competing in the GTS division of the ultra competitive Pirelli World Challenge (PWC), Chase and his Performance Motorsports Group (PMG) squad will look to take his Enertech Resources / Protein Water by ProBalance / New Braunfels Convention and Visitors Bureau / City of New Braunfels Ginetta G55 to the top step of the podium as they return to series competition.

After claiming a podium result at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in March and last competing at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course in late July, the 2016 PWC Rookie of the Year is excited to get back on track, especially at the famed Circuit of the Americas.

“The event this weekend is a home race for me and I am anxious to get back behind the wheel and on track,” explains Chase. “I had an epic battle with a fellow competitor in the closing stages of race two at Mid Ohio and gained accolades from series officials and other competitors. I look to carry that momentum into the weekend as I absolutely love COTA and the Ginetta G55 is always fast at this facility. I will have my goals set high as this is my second to last event on the 2017 PWC calendar.”

Piloting the sleek Ginetta G55 for Performance Motorsports Group, Chase will once again join fellow Texan and teammate Harry Gottsacker under the Performance Motorsports Group banner.

Chase continued, “The PMG crew is second to none. Their professionalism and approach to each and every on track session gives us the best possible chance week in and week out. Having Harry as a teammate is also a valuable asset as we are able to share data and work together to both get the best out of our race cars. In Mid Ohio we were able to score four top-five results between the two of us and are motivated to keep that statistic going this weekend.”

With a Promoters Test Day scheduled for Thursday, August 31, official competition will begin on Friday with two practice sessions. Saturday will host the lone qualifying session of the weekend in the morning and the first of two races in the afternoon while Sunday will be the home of race two.
