KEY NOTES
  • Parker Chase recorded a 27th-place finish in his second career NASCAR Xfinity Series start following a race-ending crash on Lap 64.
  • Chase practiced as high as fourth in wet conditions during Friday’s 50-minute practice session.
  • Qualifying for the Pacific Office Automation 147 followed a group qualifying procedure. Chase qualified in Group A, solidifying an 18th-place starting position.
  • Qualifying was considered a “dry track” qualifying session, meaning teams were required to qualify on slick tires rather than rain tires.
  • Rain ultimately ended the qualifying session early.
  • The No. 26 Tower Family Foundation Toyota GR Supra consistently ran Top-10 lap times but radio communication and visibility issues put the No. 26 team behind at times.

What were your thoughts on today’s race?

“The race started off good — first few laps were great where we were running up in the Top-10, and then I wasn’t able to see all the way up until the track dried. It started off good, and then it was bad due to visibility and radio issues, and then it was good when we were running around 10th on that last restart. We were caught up in a wreck there that ended our day. We were extremely quick in the wet, and then it started to dry up and we were still alright, surprisingly, considering our pace [in qualifying] in the dry wasn’t great. Once it dried out, I was still happy with the way that it was driving. It looks like, as we were coming to the last restart before we got caught up in an incident that it was starting to rain again. The car was good overall, just didn’t get the finish we were hoping for.”=
