All Six BHA Hyundais Finish Inside the Top-Ten at Laguna Seca – Chase and Gottsacker Finish 4th

Speedway, IN – While it wasn’t the sweet repeat of a BHA podium sweep like last year at Hyundai’s home event at Laguna Seca, it was an exciting, action-packed race that saw all six BHA entries finish inside the top-ten.

The weekend was highlighted with Harry Gottsacker setting a new IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge TCR series record for pole positions, when he qualified first for the sixth time since joining BHA and the TCR category in 2019.

Gottsacker and his teammate Parker Chase went on to score the best finish of the day for the Hyundai squad, taking the checkers in fourth position.

Four of the five BHA Elantras were on the receiving end of on-track blows by competitors in Saturday’s race. The race results don’t show the pace the Hyundai Elantras displayed in the two-hour battle, and they also don’t represent the quick work in the pits by the BHA teams. The #33 Elantra N TCR was represented on the top of the speed charts during the race as Mark Wilkins set the fastest race lap.

BHA is back in action next week, May 12th-13, at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, the site of their first TCR victory with Hyundai in 2019. Last year at Mid-Ohio, BHA won again when Parker Chase and Ryan Norman scored the first victory in the Elantra N TCR in North America.
